It looks like we might me moving flats in a few months and its just crossed my mind that I dont think the new place has an outside tap anywhere! So I thought is there any other way of washing the bike, maybe a washer that you could fill up with water somehow?

Any ideas?

Why not? its only the second floor and most hoses are more than double that?

Yea ninja has one of those portable jet wash mashies.. Pretty food and works of the cig lighter.. Pay the £££ for them but they are good if you have no access to an outside tap.. Will need to fill it up though so maybe by a Gerry can to fill it up... Or a kettle but think of how fit your become washing the bike :-) :-)

I use a small handheld hozelock sprayer (like the one above) to blast the worst off and then use bucket and sponge and a alloy wheel cleaning brush to get the rest of it

I use a bucket of hot water and sponge and finish with exactly the yellow one above.
I paid £30 but I'd buy the second in the list for £20

depends on how good a shot you are! you can flush the grease out with a hose / power wash if you're not careful
