Well met up with Carl today for some bike shopping, turns out me and Carl must have been separated at birth as share the same views on
most things lol

went into Evans lakeside but nothing instock that i liked so shot over to Triton, i know some of you rate Triton but must say we were a bit surprised by there customer relations, having driven about 40 mins to get there we found the showroom to be shut, we knocked on the door and was greeted with a "what do you want" we said we would like to buy a bike but was told you cant come in we are not open, i said thats a shame as ive got a big bag of cash on me and would like a Cannondale SL4 with that the guy shrugged his shoulders and said cant help you. i mentioned it might be worth putting some thing on there website letting people know there not open for business and to save a waisted journey but he just shrugged his shoulders again and shut the door. he had no interest in selling us a bike what so ever or even in trying to arrange for us to come back another time. not what i was expecting at all, clearly they can afford to loose customers ...

Anyway we ended up at Cycles UK and had a long chat with a guy whos name escapes me (Carl may remember) who was really helpful they had sold out of all 2011 bikes so only had 2012 ones instock, only really found one bike that i fell in love with a Cube Acid in black and white but at £769 is way over budget so decided to have a think on it and maybe go back tomorrow i was offered £50 worth of kit of my choice free but couldnt reduce the bike at all :(

any views on the Cube Acid ?

If you go to Southend branch ask for Wes. Great bloke :-) Rides a big ass CUBE himself.

I sent my bro-in-law in when he wanted to buy a bike as we did the trawling around thing and knew we'd end up back there...

He bought the Attention in black/white :)

Say the Irish guy with the red rockhopper sent you to him :)

Sorry to hear the news at Triton, I would hazard a guess that was Tony, certainly can get moody especially if he dont know yer lol. Luke is in america as was mentioned earlier in the thread, and tbh its pretty much Luke that deals with everything. If yer dont manage to get anything before Luke comes back I dont mind going to Triton with yer mate.
