I have been in Great Notley for a while now and have been thinking bout getting a mountain bike. I borrowed a specialized hybrid and took it up the flitch way a few times was pretty good. i saw quite a few guys out on MTBs.

Seems like a popular sport. I know the best locations are Brentwood, Danbury etc.

But if anyone is about locally Braintree / Notley give me a shout. ...

Hi all, I had an 06 enduro that I rode everywhere. It's the frame the sx trail was built around !!
The zesty did not fill the hole yesterday what do I need ? I need to be able to ride up mountains comfortably ish but descend nicely. Not fussed about being the first up but not killing me but able to rip down overtaking the peeps that beat me up the hill £2-3k budget ...

Hey guys, my names Matt, I live in waltham abbey, so right next Epping forest.
I go biking quite a lot there, Although I'm not the fittest guy around. I tend to stick to the routes I know which are mostly the ones around the top car park, And up to near chingford. I've got an alright bike, gets me around. Hopefully getting a new one May time!

I need a new single speed bottom bracket and crank set as my BB has died on me.

I think its 68mm and i have about £100 probably can spend a little more.

Hi all, been a while since out on mountain bike :( , other toys/work/wedding got in way. Now decided to get a downhill bike (08 giant glory) .

Wondered If there's any other newbie dh riders looking for a ride / crash in my case.

Also where's ideal place for a beginner to downhill.
