Essex Herts - Epping Forest Gravity(less) Bacon Buttie Enduro Round 1… some details below
- Date - Sunday the 14th of July.
- Location - Meet @ High Beech Epping Forest. All the info you need to find it can be found here http://www.essexhertsmtb.co.uk/mtb-trai ... forest.php
- Time - Leave High Beech @ 9.30 for the first stage. ill be there from 9ish to get the start list sorted etc
- Duration - About 3 hours - 5-7 stages. Although Epping doesn't have a lot of gradients up to 7 stages also means up to 7 climbs and even though they will be at a mellow pace being a little bit fit will help.
- Timing - You time yourself and at the end of each stage your time is recorded. Ive tested out a few ways of doing it and this is the most reliable and least hassle for all.
- Entry cost. - None apart from having a stopwatch on you somewhere. Ill be gaffer taping a £3 ebay stopwatch to my stem or bars. There will be a cake related prize for the most ghetto timing setup – some people have taken this to the next level http://ride.io/forum/index.php/topic,118388.0.html
- Prizes - A bacon buttie. Possibly might throw in a cup of tea as well
- The Stages - I’ll be getting a video preview of the sections up 3 weeks before the event. Ill try and make the linking stages as fun as cruisey possible!
- Size - I think 20 entries in manageable so it will be on a first come first served basis.
