Its not just when cornering, although it gets louder when chucking it round bends, it happens when im just riding along straight aswell.
ive had the bike 3 months now and its only just started doing it this week.
will order some new rotors and if it stops then the formula ones will go.
thanks for the advice mate.

I had something like this and it was when my Hope Floating Saw rotor was clipping the edge of the disc brake mounting bracket, it only happened when riding on the bike, but some very careful recalibration sorted it.

Mate, I took this tip from the car trade,
Take a file or sandpaper And chamfer the leading edge of the pads. This stops the leading edge catching if the pads creep out slightly while riding. This should work even with slight disk flex. if it continues take a bit more off. Let us know how you get on.

I'd still knock off the leading edge when you put new pads in.

Ive just sent my brand new cube gtc pro carbon back to the shop. An hour into my first ride along the Ridgeway 2 days ago, The nasty noise from my rear break started. It faded out the harder i braked. Also made a high pitch squeal. I was told that the formula rx brakes took a while to bed in, but was really concerned at how loud it was. Now, the bike is back at the shop. I'm fairly sure they are going to call me saying what i've since read. google threw up many many reports
These brakes are noisey! top stopping power for the money, yeh! the brakes are noisey full stop. You can spend a lot trying to minimize the noise but it won't go completely. Ive read that the metallic Turkey warbling sound does fade a bit, but don't go completely. If anyone knows any different, please let me know. cheers .

As above, it was the rotors making the noise, i changed to shimano xt ones and it has stopped completley.
if the noise hasn't gone when you get it back, try it on with the shop and ask that they change the rotors for you to a different make.

Hi mate, so glad I found this thread, its been driving me mad! I've got the exact same problem with 180mm Formula RX brakes. When cornering or going fast it sounds like a tinny rattle (same noise if you flicked the rotor with your finger). I'll try new rotors. Thanks!
