Possibly, ill get intouch with a few people who might be up for this.

for anyone wanting to do this:

-course is approx, 8 miles. Its a lot of fun, theres some great bits, like sponge bob that will make you grin for a while afterwards
-includes camping night before and night afterwards.
-can practise the course the day before anytime after lunch
-its on army land so security is as good as youll get at any bike event.
-water on course, theres showers too.
-on course atmosphere between riders is the best ive known at any event. Really friendly.
-if youve ever wanted to do a road gap ;) this is your chance (theres a mound to the left at the end of a very fast descent that chucks you over the road, its not obvious at first but youll grin like an idiot when you make it)
-dj on course after dark
-lots of interesting beers served in the tent.

highly recommended, we had a great time in 2010 when 7 of us did it and all enjoyed it.

any questions, just ask...

Its not the same one as at porridge course is it? There was two routes one to the right of a tree and one that launched you towards a road?

No, different place. Dont think any part of 12/12 (minley manor) is used for any other gorricks.

I'm up for this as a soloist...... seems like a bad idea now, will seem like a terrible idea about 6 hours in!!

Be good to get down there with a group of us.

I've ridden in minley a bit a couple of years ago and ca agree it'll b an awesome course!

I like to do something this. But as solo two hour. Need to do more research.

Q: As a team all have to be same kind of fitness the slowest ride will lose time & places for team. Right?

Looked at some YouTube video was a lot of running pushing bikes.

We would all do a few laps each, not all in one go if you didn't want to.
I wouldn't worry about loosing places as its a long game, to win first you have to finish!

I would have been up for it but as suspected, we're heading off for the weekend with our plastic palace for it's first outing of the year
