Yep, really need two though, one on the head so when the going gets twisty you can still see where your going.

No idea what the real figures would be, but one of the T6 LED's in there is enough to dish up a LOT of light, so 3 would be enough to rival car headlights at full beam.

For circa £40, got to be wortha punt although not sure what the battery life would be on full power!

In the unlikely event anyone is interested, I'd go for this one:

http://www.lightmalls.com/high-brightne ... bike-light

I think that is the same LED as the light I've got, decent run time (low is more than enough light 5h, high 3h) and plenty bright enough!

All for £25!

I still don't know how you're supposed to mount the damn battery? It sits in canvas pocket with a Velcro strap through a loop and a big canvas loop hanging off it, should have come in a Christmas cracker as a puzzle

The Velcro loop goes around your stem or frame

Sod it, I seem to have an addiction to torches and things I don't need. I have ordered a £10 torch off there (XML U2) as a tester, will let you guys know when it arrives in case anyone is interested!

Just don't tell the Mrs....
