Evening all.

Adam and I are planning a trip this Sat. Weather in the week and on the day looks like it is worth braving.

It will be a reasonable pace XC (taking hardtails out for a burn) taking in a few of the classics with the odd segway into the steeper stuff on Pitch. Probably aim to string together a loop of about 30-40 k. ( for those of you reading Singletrack mag- it is pretty much the route they had written up).

Thoughts are meet early (9ish?) at either Wescott or Peaslake. And have a good old ride for about 4 or 5 hours With a stop for coffee / lunch.

Who's in?

Nigel

Good ride today - classic winter outing - super fun.

Evil's 29er was flattening everything in its path!!

Cracking ride, the 6km down was probably going down to Wescott. We pretty much did the same route as the one in the latest Singletrack.

We arrived and spent most of the time riding in light snow that never really settled. For all this of you worried about conditions I would say get down there. Yoghurt pots has had a lot if work done to it and ran the fastest I have ever run. The other classics like Telegraph and Summer Lightening were also running really well. The area on to Coldharbour was also running well.

We then worked our way back up to Peaslake at went up Pitch for a play on a few runs. I was pretty spent by the time we finished due to lack of fitness.

I would be up for going back as in my view Surrey Hills is pretty good any weather. Especially if you are used to Epping or Broxborne.

Good to hear fellas. I haven't done the old summer lightening decent for ages. Looks like you put together a cracking route.

Any interesting lines in the old Leith Hill quarry area?
