Does anyone has one of these CRC bike bags or similar?

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=68409

I wonder whether Scott Voltage can fit inside? Need to ship the bike at end of the week and have been considering getting one as it will come handy in future as well. Any opinions are much appreciated.

Cheers
Peter

Santa bought me one but havnt used it yet, i had an old cheapo one before and i nearly died last year dragging it around London from work to Train to Luton airport to Geneva and im so looking forward to making use of the wheels, ive heard they are a bit tight but there are always adjustments you can make, slide stanchions up if you have triple clamp forks for example.

I haven't ordered yet as I came across this on ebay/amazon

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220954227090? ... 1438.l2649

It seems to have extra support for the bottom bracket and fork padding which the CRC bag is lacking (at least I can't see on the photos) and is marginally more expensive.

Looks good..and it has wheels :), although doesn't have the separate wheel covers that the CRC one has. Whilst it good to have straps inside, it maybe limits to what you can do perhaps ?. I like to slide my forks into my backpack bag and fill that with tools/pads etc.

Its a knock off of the evoc - even uses their pics in the add (bottom 2) ... slightly smaller though but will probably work better than the CRC one..

Evoc bags are aaaaaaamazing btw.

good tip on the back pack bag andy!

Might be teaching you all to suck eggs here, but when I went to Valencia a while ago, I used a soft bag .... I was a bit paranoid about the forks getting squeezed, especially the rears, so I cut a couple of old hubs out of a couple of knackered old wheels put them in place. before wrapping the bike up in pipe insulation. dunno if it made any difference, but it helped with my piece of mind.

I also use pipe lagging but use the frame spacers from LBS rather than old hubs. Old wheels mean money on eBay to me

Good point, but these wheels were buckled as hell and no use to anyone - they were heading for the skip anyway.

Scaffold padding is better for thicker frames than normal pipe padding

Scaffold padding matt where do you get that from? Actually I ride a steely so 22mm lagging would be perfect :)

That bag look great ans as Jon said looks just like a Evoc.
The straps inside would be handy to stop things rolling around, I was thinking of getting an investing in an Evoc for some fun next year, but this looks just as good. Also at least I i know it def fits a V3 in it!
