From the what I can find it seems the Ragley Blue Pig and Stanton Slackline are two well reviewed options. Any one have any thoughts to help me decide? The Blue Pig is winning because of the price at the moment (£314 on CRC verses £460 for the slackline).

Also considering second hand as blue pigs seem to got for just over about £100 or so... which might be more realistic as I want to finance by selling a 2007 Kona Coiler frame!

One one 456, kona steely (they run at 130mm but might beable to squeeze 140mm on it at a push) or production privee shan spring to mind, all steel made though 456 can come in alley or carbon

I have a 456 with 150 Revelations on it. That's the max the frame will take (hence the name). As far as I'm aware you can only get these in Steel and Carbon.

This is my no one 456 love it and going from a 6" enduro(sold as I'm a mature student) it had a big hole to fill love running a hard tail again as it keeps you honest and I find mine has the grin factor down hill and climbs like a mountain goat
Mine only has 120mm forks on as they came off a donor bike and have no funds for bigger forks adjustable forks would make it tick all boxes ride :)and only £190 frame

That's not your 456, half of it's missing! Where's all the pink? :D
I picked my frame up right at the end of their clearance for £99 I think.

On one 456 "summer season" was extra slack, although i have tried mine with a 160 and its a bit like driving an oil tanker... i run it with a 130 and its like driving a double decker bus... but i think they are all like that to be fair.

great bike tho!!

Sorry, didn't mean to cause offence. My point was more that titanium is not an Alloy as such hence the heft price tag. Nothing wrong with steel though and weight wise there's little between steel frames and their aluminium equivalents. I'd lobe to get the titanium version of my frame though, self repairing scratches!
