I've been pondering for a while chopping in the demo for something more versatile
I realistically am going to struggle to put the money together to buy a decent 2nd bike so I am wondering about selling the demo.
The demo is pretty much dream spec with Saint drive train, mavic rims, xt brakes, renthal bars etc
So I should see a decent return on it
The replacement would have to be pretty capable
I like to jump a lot in a dh/freeride sort of scenario
I want to be able to pedal the bike too as I have never ridden a trail centre which isn't an uplift style place

Any suggestions would be great. I doubt I'm in new bike territory and I'm pretty against buying a bike that I can't test ride first so yt etc are out I think

Budget would be about 1500 maybe more I'm not overly sure what the demo will fetch

So ur after a burly enduro bike?

For £1500 ish there are a lot of

about - seems solid for the money with good geo - not sure how you would test one though?

or maybe

Having something you can pedal will certainly open up the places you can ride. I hardly ever get out on the Dh bike these days. 90% of my riding in on the shorter travel bike.

150 /160 bikes are so capable now. You know how to jump and not land like a sack of spuds. You know not to let the bike do all the work and imagine the fun you'll have with a maneuverable bike! Sounds like a good decision

Looking at the specs for mine and the newer meta there not loads of differences but there are a few. Forks and shocks gain CTD dampering (guess making it abit more all mountain and easiler on the climbs) and the crank outer ring drops from 39 tooth to 36 tooth (again making it easiler on the ups). The biggest thing that could put someone off is the frame weigh is high compeared to other simular bikes but you have to remember than they use the same frame on the meta SX 160mm for enduro racing. I personaly find it makes it very sure footed and very fun trail bike. You have seen me ride mine to know how capable they are.

Mine had rrp of £2850, i paid £1900 at end of season so £2900 down to £1875 is very good. Have a look on CRC as well as they have got a few topend 2012 for silly money now.
