Good old England, Well it looks like that was summer.. :o
I'm curious about base layers.? What to look for material wise and what I should be paying for them.
Long sleeve ,short sleeve.??
The only thing i do know about them is they should be tight/close fitting, I've never used them before so sorry for my noobness
Any input would be appreciated

Short sleeve always unless its frosty out!

i usually go with Motorbike ones from spada as they have cool panels built in, in key places

I wear Gore. I've tried cheaper ones before and the bottom of the top has ridden up, these don't, fit well. Lots of options of LS, SS, Singlet, with or without windstopper. I wear with the windstopper. Fine for low degress down to sub zero, the windstopper really does work with wind chill.

Been using these for a number of years, either on its own or with something over the top in colder or wet condition. For the money its great, could spend more (and get more features) but i like the fit and forget way it does its job. Have used when gone skiing as well

I have the smelly hansen, but in comparison to the endura baa baa it's utter crap, especially if your riding to and from work 4 days a week and sweat like a horror :)

the endura is most definately the best i have purchased, on top of this i can do 4-5 days and it just about starts to smell, nothing bad though.

I honestly think you could use it as a single layer, depending on what your doing and how the weather is.

it's a toasty bit of kit but again brilliant and wicking, some people think it's itchy though so try one on first.
