Sound like a plan is coming together....
Give me a few weeks to get the bike set up and will post a phat bike ride up.
Epping could be the place.

Well just spent a few hours tinkering on the sasquatch.

Fitted a pair of superstar nano peddles.
Adjusted seat, shock & tyre pressures.

Had a little spin round the block, feels better. :D
Need to have a longer ride to finish the tinkering.

I run the pressure about 9 in the front 12 in the rear.

Right; time for an update on my new fat bike. :D :D

Have been for a few rides now and I'm getting used to the way it handles, a few thing to change more of that later.

Did a 23 mile ride last Sunday, didn't have quite enough pressure in the rear tire. Had to pump up as best I could with my mini pump (have now got a Topeak Mountain morph pump).
Really enjoyed the ride, got used to the wide BB (100mm)quite quickly, But the bounce from the rear end has improved since I increased the pressure to 10psi. The front is the same as well now.
It rides over or through anything as long as the peddles are turning, that's were I usually fail
It not a bike for getting somewhere quickly, up hill it's a low gear even on road, and the humming from the tires is great to hum along to ;) ;)
But off tarmac is where the fun is 8-) :P It is a real hoot, it just fly's over roots, loss gravel is a breeze, soft sand and mud just floats over.

Went for a ride tonight (Thursday) no rushing anywhere just a nice plod round the Stock area Found a few nice runs through some woods on loss dry dirt, and the bike just rails round corners. the only thing is hard packed dry mud along bridlepaths that have been rutted by horses hooves, the bounce if you hit them at speed.

Improvements to my fat bike.
Go tubeless. :high5:
New lock on bar grips. Current foam one don't cut the mustard.
Possibly get a frame bag for tools & kit.
Shorter stem. I'm used to the one on my full sus Norco.
May be carbon bars & seat post to loss a bit more weight.

Nice bike, I'd stick a dropper on her and hang the weight... She's not meant to be fast, she's meant to be fun...

Well had a ride out on my full susser norco on Sunday, had to get used to small tires :!:
The narrow bb was strange as well, took a short while to grt used to great fun through.
The speed difference is very noticeable, much small contact area.
Even with suspension the rough sections of bridleways are challengeing.
I'm not sure if this could be due to suspension set up, or just the rider :silent:

The fatty seems to roll over this type of ground better
May be due to the lower tire pressures :silent: :?:
But then the balance changes when riding it on tarmac, not much in the way of free wheeling

Looking forward to Thursdays Danbury ride. :high5:
