Yea - looks like ts one of the old dragon courses and has opened up another side of the hill - good times! Its the furthest left black.

interesting to compare whats there above to what was originally planned below. Looks like there is space for lots more trails down that side of the hill.

New blue being added - https://www.facebook.com/BikeParkWales/ ... 167993533/

Longest trail on the hill - should be a flow fest.

I rekon it will be the left most blue from the original plans in the second pic above

Terry's Belly is the new trail on the south west side of the hill (i8)
Difficulty - Intermediate
Distance - 4.6km

Summary

Terry's Belly is the longest trail at BikePark Wales and in fact is the longest continuous blue descent in the UK! The trail starts from the same point as 50 Shades of Black but heads south along a series of open swooping turns rather than east down the steeper slopes of 50 Shades. Next Terry's Belly heads through as yet unused territory in the bike park, taking in an area of mature Scots pine trees with some excellent flowing trail and huge rock slabs before reaching a stretch of beautiful ancient oak forest. Here the trail opens up and sweeps its way via huge rollers and berms between the majestic ancient trees. A fast dash through some classic Welsh open pasture will then drop you right at the bottom of the hill buzzing from one of the best descents in Wales.

Another new trail - http://dirtmountainbike.com/news/bikepa ... epper.html

hotstepper - Sweet

Quote:
Back in the Autumn of 2015 we asked riders at BikePark Wales what kind of trail they wanted us to build next. It was pretty clear from what we heard that a red trail needed to be the next addition. We got some great feedback and some really detailed input as to the kind of features, textures and shapes people wanted to ride on this new trail. We put our heads together and along with Back-On-Track, a line was plotted and a concept created. HotStepper was born!

See some posts up about the new HotStepper trail, seems it is unofficially open now, some riders have already given it the thumbs up, good step off's and twisty. needs to bed in of course, but another good trail to play on in Wales.

BPW gets better each visit we do. Having done it last Monday 21st March in the sun and bone dry.. The place was flying and Terries Belly was great fun. A few more trips planned back there in the coming months.

Exciting times, but for the trails to double in size, so will all the facilities need to be. Still only 1 toilet and no showers. Car park fills up already and the wait for the busses well...

I love the place though.
