Ok so a few of us, looking at the weather, it looks like it should be fast, cool and crisp

I'm up for it. A mate from work has asked to come along if that's alright.

Where is the bacon hut. I've never heard of it.

You've gotta peddle to Whips X to get the bacon (its next to the lakes there), so about 15 miles of work firstly to build up the appetite

Out of interest, is there a decent bit of riding to be had between Connaught Water and Whipps Cross then? Looking at a map it just looks like roads, so whenever I've ridden Epping Forest in the past I've never strayed any further south that the carpark at Connaught Water... would love to know if I'm missing out on some good off road trails?!

Only roads we use are when we cross over them back into the wooded sections.

Have to do the ride on Sunday to see this route, learning new trails is always fun

Is the ride still on tomorrow as it looks like it's going to rain from 10 onwards.
