I am pressed for time so no Epping for me this time.

I was wondering if anyone is out for a XC loop around Danbury. 9am/10am start I am flexible. I hear that the trails are much better now.

No worries Karl. It now seems that its best I get out at 9am rather than later. I hope its not too early for you. I will be parking at the small car park at the common, opposite the Cricketer pub. Blue 4x4 with a roofbox on it. See you there if you can make it.

Ciar, it will be another time mate. We get coffee and cakes in Danbury but no bacon so be happy.

Brilliant,

I'm not local though, was going to head to forest lodge, is the pub anywhere near that?

Will aim for 9 then, staying in Billericay, am I right in thinking thats about half an hour drive?

Thanks Laser. I remember you posting this map before. I thought of it straight away but had no idea where to find it. Perfect timing.

Karl, not sure where Forest Lodge is but now that the you have the map location I am sure you will be able to see it in Google maps. To add 10 miles to my ride I may cycle from Chelmsford to the car park via Sandon so dont panic if you dont see the blue 4x4 there, instead there will be a white Whyte 29er just as big.

Early spring so plenty of time for the usual Sunday loop. I will have the cake for you tomorrow though.

Hey Karl. It was good to have you ridding with us mate. A nice early ride, it a shame that Joel and I had to ride back home by 12 and I could not risk it (or else ;) ) but still 3hr ride was not bad at all. I was tempted to continue alondside the golf course but time was short. I am sure the other lads got you to the carpark with them fine.

I will drop you a PM later so we can swap numbers. Keen to ride the obscure side of Thetford.

Totally understandable fella, its a juggle with family/biking.

Let me know when you're going and I'll show you as much single track as you could handle in a day, without riding a single marked route!!! :)

They got me back to the car park, did kiss the dirt over at the common though!!
